Emerging Leaders is a select group of professionals dedicated to advancing the mission of Phoenix Children’s Hospital through community engagement and philanthropy. Their efforts have contributed to the construction of a new Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders and exam room in the updated Emergency Department, ensured the Family Care Cart can provide essential comfort items to inpatient families, supported Homeless Youth Outreach programs, enabled Phoenix Children's Hospital to recruit a neuroscientist and much more!
Emerging Leaders engaged in the Leadership Committee provide professional development, leadership training, and educational activities for members of Emerging Leaders. Among other opportunities, this group works to plan Speaker Series events with local leaders; past speakers have included physicians, researchers, an Olympian and executives of global companies.
Members of the Emerging Leaders Giving Committee coordinate efforts related to the group’s philanthropic endeavors, including identifying significant funding opportunities, planning signature event experiences including 7 Chefs for Kids, and additional outreach that is intended to generate revenue for Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Emerging Leaders work on service projects and volunteer opportunities, throughout the year, benefiting Phoenix Children’s Hospital, its patients, staff, and the community. Standing opportunities include: Bingo in the Child Life Zone (weekly) and Family Care Cart (monthly) with others arising throughout the year.
